Individual Therapy
Individual therapy at Calming Corner is designed to support teens and adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or burned out. Many seek support with anxiety, panic, depression, stress, insomnia, relationship challenges, perfectionism, overthinking, or life transitions. My clients want stability, clarity, and practical strategies to feel more in control and confident in their daily lives.
Therapy offers a supportive space to process emotions, explore concerns, and work toward restoring a sense of balance. Through individual therapy, clients are supported in building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, and developing tools that promote confidence, and long-term resilience as they navigate life’s challenges.
Treatment is geared toward addressing concerns such as:
Intrusive or racing thoughts during periods of uncertainty
Difficulty concentrating or staying organized while adjusting to change
Overthinking and persistent worry about the future
Increased impulsivity or difficulty making decisions
Perfectionism and fear of “getting it wrong”
Heightened self-criticism and negative self-talk
Avoidance of responsibilities or situations due to anxiety
Irritability or emotional reactivity
Procrastination related to overwhelm or fear
Thought spiraling and difficulty mentally “shutting off”
Low self-esteem or identity confusion
Panic symptoms or heightened anxiety responses
Low mood or emotional exhaustion
Decreased motivation and energy
Sleep disturbances related to stress or transition-related anxiety
